Lucas Malo, Co-Chair
Community Service
Years at Brandeis: 14
Fun Fact: I have a dog named Maxx after my favorite store, TJMaxx

I started my career in residence life where I put a strong emphasis on student leadership and community. Since then, I have taken those values into my current role in the department of community service. I hold in high regard professional development and am actively involved with multiple committees including NASPA’s mid-level planning committee and mid-senior level programming for region 1. You will often find me running, being a dad, bargain shopping, trying new recipes, playing sports and board games, and watching reality TV.

Kristin Menconi, Co-Chair
Hiatt Career Center
Years at Brandeis: 4
Fun Fact: I beat my high school senior class at a game of Simon Says

How loud do you cheer for Boston sports teams? I’m by far one of the loudest! I grew up playing and watching sports which led me to a career in the health and fitness industries. Keeping my desire to work with young people, I made my way into higher education and career services where I showcase students in Facebook Live episodes among other initiatives. I am a lover of true crime podcasts, working out, funny jokes, my dog…oh yes…and Tom Brady!

Kristyn Burke
Student Financial Services
Years at Brandeis: 15
Fun Fact: I am well versed on building codes and construction lingo after acting as the project manager on a major home renovation project. Next time I’ll hire someone.

After a short stint as a mutual fund custody accountant, I realized that I really missed college. This led to a career at Brandeis where I have worn many hats including admissions counselor at the Brandeis IBS, assistant director of student services in SFS/Academic Services and my current role in Student Employment. My loves include visiting Western MA, craft beer and binge-watching shows with my husband. Most of my free time is spent chauffeuring, refereeing and snuggling my school-aged children.

Alex Nickel-Milstone

Years at Brandeis: Less than 1 year
Fun Fact: My friends and I were picked out of the crowd at a Taylor Swift concert to meet her

I’m excited to be back on a college campus! In my role as Communications Coordinator here, I love partnering with the different Student Affairs departments and offices to help strengthen our communications to the Brandeis community. Prior to joining Brandeis, I worked at a public relations firm in Boston.

On the weekends, you can usually find me trying new brunch spots, spending time with family and friends, watching Law & Order: SVU marathons, and going on walks with my rescue dog Bailey.

Kat Page
Years at Brandeis: 7
Fun Fact: I’ve run a marathon in 50 states

I’ve always been a fitness enthusiast and now I get to make a living by doing my favorite things! I love working with people of all ages engaging and promoting healthy lifestyles. If I’m not working out, I enjoy traveling, eating french fries and doing arts and crafts.

Maira Pantoja

Years at Brandeis: Less than 1 year
Fun Fact: I have hitchhikers thumbs

Working with college students is my passion! Helping students grow and develop outside of the classroom, especially while living on campus, is very important work to me. When I am not working, you can often find me at the gym, playing basketball, spending time with family or catching up on Netflix shows.

Undergraduate Admissions
Years at Brandeis: 2

Fun Fact: My spirit animal is a panda

Born and raised in Central Massachusetts, I have the unpopular opinion of loving (for the most part) the New England winters because it gives me a chance to go snowboarding! I found my way in Admissions after graduating from the College of the Holy Cross. Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to meet prospective students and families, which is what I love most about this job and what I always look forward to!
